Sentro 1771

Traditional Filipino dishes with distinct style is what best describes Sentro. We went to sentro to introduce my friend Joseph to Lisa. This is my third time to visit sentro and still remains to be one of my favorite restaurants. You need to make a prior reservation to be seated. If you plan to do just walk in, you’ll need to wait at least 30 minutes to be seated as there are a lot of people also dining at this place during weekends. We ordered Fried Kesong Puti P190 for appetizer. This is a organic native cheese coated with bread crumbs and deep fried until golden brown dazzled with sweet chili guave sauce and served with garlic dip. For our main dish, we had a hearty soup called Corn Beef in Tamarind broth for P340, this is a corned beef short ribs and boneless shanks in tamarind broth with native vegetables. They even let you taste the broth first, for you to judge if it has just the right sour taste. Boneless Crispy Trotter for P390, Deboned crispy pata, Rated GG for P185 is a galunggong fillet fried in garlic oil and topped with brown garlic, Adobong Kangkong for P90 and Sentro Fried Rice for P110, good for 2-3 persons. Our total bill is P1769 for 4 persons.
