Minggoy’s
In the early ’80s, the restaurant had been a favorite dating place for young men out to impress the young ladies they were wooing. Today, while it remains such on a less obvious scale, Mingoy’s also caters to the palates of entrepreneurial types on a business meeting families in a get-together and a mixed set of diners chatting while enjoying their jrite dishes. The restaurant is best known for its long established paella specialties. The Paella con Chipirones, cooked in sguid ink giving the dish a blackish hue, remains a favorite. There is also a formidable assortment of appetizers including Ostras con Espinacas (baked oysters topped with spinach with hollandaise sauce and Parmesan cheese), the flavorful seafood goodness well-complemented by the tang of the sauce and cheese. The Salpicao (tender beef cubes cooked in olive : oil and garlic) and Beef Spareribs are also recommended.
